MLK2 – Numero Uno

Quirks: Our first car, and the second-highest competition score in our history.

2005

MLK5 – Mystery Car

Engine: Honda CBR 600 rr (4-cylinder)
Quirks: This photo is the only one currently found of this car. It is also one of the least successful cars in the teams history, somehow scoring 4.1/50 in presentation. (did they rock up late??)

2006

MLK6 – The Sim

Engine: Honda CBR 600 rr (4-cylinder)
Quirks: This car is now our simulator and is also one of the most documented cars in our history. It also holds the record for best acceleration result.

2007

MLK7 – Lil Zoom

Engine: Unknown
Quirks: This team scored our highest placing on record in both business presentation and skid pan.

2009

MLK9 – Shark Car

Engine: Unknown
Quirks: The first shark mouth car in our history.

2010

MLK10 – Turbo Shark

Engine: Honda CBR 600 rr (4-cylinder)
Quirks: This car featured a turbocharger, it is also the second car in our history to feature a shark mouth.

2012

MLK12 – Pointy Boi

Engine: Honda CBR 600 rr (4-cylinder)
Quirks: One of few cars to score points in every event in an entire competition.

2013

MLK13 – Carbon Nose

Engine: Honda CBR 600 rr (4-cylinder)
Quirks: Our team’s first attempt at composite bodywork, featuring a carbon fiber nosecone and bodywork.

2015

MLK15 – Understeer Central

Engine: Yamaha WR 450 (single cylinder)
Quirks: Spool drive and heavy steering = right foot steering.

2017

MLK17 – Nigel

Engine: Husqvarna TE 450 (single cylinder)
Quirks: Big nose, removable rear bulkhead, decided to not run at competition. One of only two car in our history to to enter into dynamic events.

2018

MLK18 – Nigel V2

Engine: Husqvarna TE 450 (single cylinder)
Quirks: First car to compete in every event since 2012, and wet tyres were use in a competition.

2019

MLK19 – Electric Hopes and Dreams

Engine: Emrax 228-Rinehart Motion Systems PM100DZ
Quirks: The most overbuilt EV, extremely reliable with the most complex startup sequence imaginable

2021

The Trailer

Engine: UniSA Pool Vehicle
Quirks: Electrical system with a lot of character, brakes that are afraid of the dark and a poor placement of wrap.

2022

Engine: Emrax 228-Rinehart Motion Systems PM100DZ
Quirks: Side mount accumulators and the first implementation of the love voltage stack.

2023

MLK23

Engine: Emrax 228-Rinehart Motion Systems PM100DZ
Quirks: A very successful car placing 3rd place in efficiency and 12th overall.
